Requesting Additional Credits for a Client

This article explains how to request additional session credits for a client, directly through the product.

What this feature does?

If a client needs more sessions than their current credit allowance covers, you can now request additional credits directly through the platform, with no emails required. Your request is sent straight to the client's HR manager, who can approve or decline it. You'll be notified of the outcome either way.

This is designed to reduce the admin involved in getting your client the support they need, while keeping their identity private from anyone outside the approval process.

What you can do?

  • Submit a credit request for a client directly from their profile, the live video session, or part of the post-session flow.

  • Skip the email back-and-forth — requests go straight to the HR manager.

  • Receive a notification once the request is approved or declined.

Privacy: what the manager sees

Your client's privacy is protected throughout the request process.

  • The HR manager sees that a credit request has been made, but not the client’s name.
  • No clinical information is shared as part of the request.

How to request credits

  1. You can do this from your client’s profile, in the live video room or as part of the post-session flow.
  2. Select the ‘Request more credits’ option.
  3. Submit your request.
  4. You'll receive a notification once the HR manager approves or declines the request.

FAQs

Do I still need to email anyone about this?

No. The request is sent directly through the product, removing the need for email.

How will I know if the request was approved?

You'll receive a notification as soon as the HR manager responds, whether the request is approved or declined.

What happens if the request is declined?

You'll be notified, and you can follow up with the HR manager or Kara Connect support if you need to discuss next steps. It’s also possible to resubmit the credit request with better arguments or recommendations, if needed.
