Professionals: How to add your primary work categories

This article shows the steps that need to be followed to setup your primary work categories

We are adding a new section called Primary work categories to your Professional Information. Choose one or more categories from Mental Health, Family & relationships, Physical wellness, Career Guidance, Finance & legal.

Follow these steps to update your Primary work categories:

1. Log into your Kara Connect workstation
2. Click on your name in the upper right corner, and choose Settings
3. Click on Professional Information on the left hand side
   1. You then should see your professional details, such as your picture, job title, specialities, primary work categories, languages and location
4. Click on Edit to the right of Professional details
5. Click on the empty field below Primary work categories and select one or more categories that apply to you
6. Click on the Save button to update your changes

What happens if I don't set up my work category?

When we connect your services or if your services are already connected to a Wellbeing Hub, updating your Primary work categories enhances your profile visibility on Kara Connect, making it easier for clients to find the right professional based on location, language, and expertise, leading to more visibility of your services.

What is a Primary work category?

In Kara Connect we have 5 categories that we offer to our corporate clients, these are Mental Health, Family and Relationships, Career, Financial and Legal, Physical.

Can I have multiple work categories?

Yes, you can select up to 3 categories as your Primary work categories. However, we recommend choosing one main category that best represents your services. For instance, if you are a massage therapist with life coaching qualifications, but primarily focus on physical therapy, your Primary work category should be "Physical".
