Collaborative Goal Setting

Kara’s Collaborative Goal Setting lets employees and Professionals define shared goals and monitor progress over time, turning sessions into structured, outcome-driven journeys.

Employees will see the prompt to set goals and intentions from within their Wellbeing Hub. It’s completely optional but these goals can provide clarity on what to focus on in sessions and can help them to visualise their care journey over time. We suggest that you and your client discuss these goals in more depth so that you both better understand the purpose of the sessions.

Common questions:

  1. Does this create extra admin work for Professionals?
No. Goals have been intentionally designed to fit naturally into an existing session flow, with a simple form structure. Goals can be managed in video sessions and client notes.

  2. What data does HR see?
    Only anonymised, high-level trends:
    • Number of employees with active goals
    • Total number of goals
    • Progress distribution (Active, achieved, on hold)

  3. Can employees choose not to use goals?
Yes. It’s optional. Most employees adopt it because it gives them clarity and structure.

  4. Is this a replacement for professional notes?
No. It’s a collaborative space, not clinical documentation. Professionals keep whatever notes they need separately.

  5. Can goals be changed later?
Yes. Goals are flexible. Employees and Pros can update them as circumstances evolve.

  6. How do employees track progress?
They can mark goals complete, reflect on progress during sessions, and set new goals.

  7. Does this pressure employees to perform?
No. Goals are collaboratively defined, human, and realistic, not performance KPIs. It’s about wellbeing progress, not productivity metrics.

  8. Is this safe from a privacy perspective?
Absolutely. No goal content is ever visible to HR or employers. Only aggregated trends are surfaced.
