Wellbeing Hubs for Professionals: Professional Alliance Survey

Understanding your treatment efficacy and client relationship with the "professional alliance survey", enables you and your clients to drive better outcomes

The professional alliance is a valuable survey we are introducing at Kara Connect. Professional Alliance measures the trust and relationship between the client (employee of our Wellbeing Hubs Programme) and you, the Professional (Participating on our Wellbeing Hubs). The stronger this bond, the better the outcomes. The alliance questionnaire measures this relationship over time and helps strengthen and build the relationship between both parties, ultimately leading to better outcomes for you and your clients.

Our decision to introduce the Professional Alliance Feature stems from our commitment to provide personalised and effective support. By quantifying wellbeing, we can better understand your needs and track progress over time. This enables us to refine and customise the support our customers receive, ensuring that your services are as effective and beneficial as possible to them.

For you as a professionals, the Professional Alliance is an essential tool for tracking your progress and impact of your services and to help you adjusting your support strategies.

We are using a widely known methodology designed to assess three dimensions of alliance important for treatment efficacy:

  • Bond
  • Partnership
  • Confidence in therapy

In conclusion, the Professional Alliance is a critical part of our mission to provide personalised, effective support and improve the wellbeing of all Kara Connect users.

First Steps

Customers using their Wellbeing Hubs and connecting with you to access your services have the ability to fill out a 5 question survey directly after a video session has ended their Clients Dashboard.

This score is generated using a reliable methodology and widely used by clinicians engaging in Feedback Informed Treatment and is designed to be used close to the end of a therapy session at regular intervals (every session, every second session, or every third session). This self-report measurement is designed to assess the client-therapist alliance.

For further information on how clients can utilise and fill out their own Wellbeing Score, feel free to refer to this article for detailed guidance.

Best Practices for Professionals and Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Wellbeing Score? How is this relevant to the Professional Alliance.

The Wellbeing Score is focused more specifically on your client current state-of-mind, on their existing feelings of wellbeing, related to their mental and emotional state. To learn more about the Wellbeing Score please check this article here.

  • This score should help you understand if your client is driving forward their wellbeing while accessing your services or other professional services.
The Professional Alliance is focused on the relationship and bond with your clients , specifically your professional treatments and their efficacy. Measuring the trust and relationship between you and your clients.
  • This score is uniquely related to you as a professional and that bond with your client. Each professional would have a unique score based on the client submissions.

Why are you introducing the Professional Alliance Score and how I should look at this from my perspective?
Clients have unique experiences and viewpoints on their wellbeing and their relationship with their professionals, making both the professional alliance score and the wellbeing score an important tool for pinpointing areas where you can provide support and enhance their overall wellness. Understanding the reasons behind their decision to seek your services or those of other professionals is crucial. Therefore, we suggest collaborating with your clients to work towards achieving positive outcomes together.

Can I ask my own questions or send my client my own questionnaire?

If you feel the need to ask your own questions or send your client your own questionnaire to learn more about their wellbeing, please keep in mind that this won't impact the Wellbeing Index/Professional Alliance Score displayed in your workstation, as it is solely influenced by the client submissions. Additionally, please be aware that other types of questionnaires or documentation cannot be submitted through our secure Kara Connect channels at this time.

How can I ensure that this score is accurately constructed and will offer me and my client the necessary information regarding their wellbeing status?
Our product team, in collaboration with our Chief Clinical Officer, defines the parameters of the Professional Alliance Score and Index based on widely used by clinicians engaging in Feedback Informed Treatment and is designed to be used close to the end of a therapy session at regular intervals (every session, every second session, or every third session) and other validated tools. This score is created using a reliable methodology trusted by clinicians  to monitor and validate treatment efficacy, and it is directly updated by the client themselves.

Why I can't see my customer/client score?

If your client comes from a Wellbeing Hub partner organisation, and your profile is connected to a given wellbeing hub, and you can't see a score on your client profile within your workstation, it could be due to two things:

1- The client has not completed their assessment

2- The client has not shared their assessment with you.

In either scenario we recommend talking to your client on the importance of updating and completing this assessment directly after completing a video session, as explained in this article and to ensure this is Shared with you.

Can I see the Wellbeing Score/Index for my private clients outside Wellbeing Hubs?

Currently, this feature is specifically available for our partner organisations participating in the Wellbeing Hubs program that you are affiliated with. If you wan't to know more about our Wellbeing Hubs programme please go here.

Should I ask and encourage my clients from wellbeing hubs to use and fill out their Professional Alliance Score assessments?

Certainly! It is highly recommended that during your online or in-person sessions with clients participating in the Wellbeing Hubs programme, you actively encourage and ensure that they are regularly completing their Professional Alliance Surveys. This will enable you to collaborate effectively with them on strategies that align with achieving positive outcomes for their overall wellbeing.

Is the Professional Alliance Score of my customers/clients shared with other parties if proactively shared by my client?

Clients have the ability to share or revoke their Professional Alliance Scores on their own. This means that clients have full control over who can access their score and when it can be viewed.

The Professional Alliance Score is only shared with the professional connections that clients have specifically authorised through their participation in the Wellbeing Hubs programme.

Other entities, such as the client's company, employer, or any other party, do not have access to their individual score.
